Day 1: Departure from Fethiye Harbour between 11 and 12 a.m. to Samanlik Bay for swimming & lunch or, depending on the sea conditions, to Butterfly Valley for lunch, a swim & optional visit of this natural reserve, hosting 136 kinds of different butterflies and moths ? Afterwards we cruise to Ölüdeniz (The Blue Lagoon) again sea conditions permitting. Option for paragliding available. ? Last stop of the day is St-Nicholas Island. Byzantine ruins, swim, dinner & 1st night.


Day 2: Around sunrise departure to Aquarium or Fırnaz Bay near Kalkan for breakfast & swimming ? Cruising to Kaş where we stop in the harbour for lunch & visit of this charming fishing village. Of ancient Antiphellos, as Kaş was once known, only Lycian rock tombs & sarcophagi and the Roman theatre are left. But the charm of the town remains! ? In a bay near Kekova we stop for swimming, dinner & the 2nd night.


Day 3: Breakfast ? Departure to Sunken City of Kekova (this Lycian- Roman archaeological site is protected, so only looking!) ? Simena, a traditional Turkish fishing village with no car access and Byzantine/Ottoman castle ? In Gökkaya Bay optional watersports are available. Dinner, relax in this pirates haven or party the night away at the Smugglers Inn.

Day 4: After breakfast we have a look at the Pirates Cave (sea conditions permitting) before cruising to Andriace harbour (lunch) ? Bus transfer to the archaeological site of Myra, and to Demre for the St-Nicholas Church, shopping and banking when requested by your group ? Bus transfer to the Treehouses in Olympos where we arrive between 4 and 6 p.m.

WESTERN LYCIA GULET CRUISE (8 DAYS)

DAY 1-Arrival (Andriace, Myra, St Nicholas Church)

Transfer to Demre, Board on the Gulet.

Boarding our Gulet in Demre. After Lunch explore Andriace, the ruins of Myra and then the Church of St. Nicholas (3rd century). Myra boasts one of the most colossal and well-preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world, complete with stone masks of the performers lying about. Explore 4th C. BC Lycian house-tombs carved out of the rock with richly decorated facades.
In the afternoon we cruise to a well-preserved cove, then hike to Kalekoy (Simena), a pastoral village crowned by a Crusader castle with dozens of impressive Roman sarcophagi strewn around its base. Our gulet anchors near this little ancient village and we watch the sunset over Kekova Bay.

DAY 2- Simena-Ucagiz-Karalos Bay

(Optional Sea-Kayaking around the sunken city)

We will first visit the pirate cave then swimming break at Gökkaya Bay. In the afternoon we will go to Karalos Bay .

DAY 3 - Aperlai – Kas

In the afternoon, we cruise Kekova Sound to Aperlai, a 4th C Lycian city whose walls and sarcophagi are scattered over the hillsides and in the bay. Here we can snorkel over sunken ruins. We sail to the charming Mediterranean village of Kas, with its well-preserved Greek theatre and narrow streets with bougainvillea flowing over wooden balconies of whitewashed houses. Kas was known as Antephellos, and was a small fishing port until recently. Although tourism has discovered Kas it has managed to retain a lot of its old charm.

DAY 4-Kas- Kalkan

(Optional Saklikent-Xanthos Tour)

Late afternoon cruise along a rugged rocky coast of untouched beauty we arrive in Gulf of Kalkan, a small and picturesque port.

DAY 5- Kalkan-Gemiler Island

Sail to Yediburun and continued sailing to Gemiler Island.

DAY 6-Oludeniz-Turunc pinari-Batik Hamam-Tersane Island

After Breakfast stop in Turunc Pinari Bay. In the afternoon, arriving in the bay of Manastir. Swimming breaks here and in the Cleopatra and Hamam bays. Dinner and overnight will be in a lovely, calm Tesane Bay.

DAY 7- Domuz Island-Yassica Island-Boynuzbuku Bay

Visiting other lovely places in the Gulf, like Domuz Island and Yassica Islands. Afternoon we will arrive in Boynuzbuku Bay, Kızıl Ada, Late in the day anchor in Fathiye Harbour.

DAY 8- Leave the Gulet

Tour ends in Fethiye.
